Barrington Residential is Hiring an Apartment Renovation Technician Near Liverpool, NY

Barrington Residential is seeking a qualified, reliable Apartment Renovation Technician to perform capital improvements throughout our apartment and townhome communities.
Apartment Renovation Technicians are expected to work at a variety of communities in the portfolio and are expected to provide the knowledge, skillset, and experience to perform day-to-day operations on the job site. This includes frequent communication with the Director of Capital Projects to ensure that the work is carried out safely, correctly, within budget, and on schedule. This is a hands-on, working position with no supervisory responsibility.
As an Apartment Renovation Technician, your primary responsibilities include:
Perform exterior community enhancements individually or as part of a team, including: soffit, fascia, and gutter cleaning and repairs; siding installation; landscaping and grounds enhancements; concrete repairs; general construction and maintenance; preventive maintenance of building systems.
Perform unit interior upgrades individually or as part of a team, including: installing vinyl plank flooring, windows, doors, finish carpentry, and cabinetry; framing and drywall; plumbing and electrical repairs; performing preventive maintenance.
Montior building system operations and performance.
Complete assigned work orders; estimate the time and materials needed to complete the repair; order necessary materials and supplies; document work orders and repair history.
Help property maintenance teams complete unit turns and work orders, when necessary.
Participate in safety inspections and alert Property Manager/Supervisor of any safety hazards immediately. Comply with all safety policies including utilizing required safety equipment
Support tenants by providing excellent customer service through effective communication, professional interactions, and timely resolution of required maintenance repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to Us:
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with clean record
Reliable transportation
2 years of direct professional experience with carpentry
Ability to be flexible in work assignments and daily tasks
Ability to perform work with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to problem solve
Ability to work independently
Strong communication skills
Physical Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate equipment necessary to perform cleaning/maintenance duties
Extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting while driving to locations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in use of equipment such as scaffolding and powered lifts
Vinyl siding and metal bending experience
Licenses/Certifications in one or more of the following applicable to the role: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, painting, plumbing, or carpentry

Pay: $25/hr - $30/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8AM – 4:30PM (must be flexible)
Travel: Must be willing to travel throughout the Syracuse region. Day travel only, no overnight.
