Growth Management is Hiring a Floor Leader Near Lombard, IL

Salary: $21.04/hr

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

REPORTS TO: Program Manager 

ALSO WORKS WITH: Primary therapists and the entire treatment team members

BASIC PURPOSE: To take direction from program manager; provide direction to all medical associates; train new staff, fill open shifts when MAs are unable to work, cook meals for clients; give medication to clients; write 12-step and fitness notes and other required documentation; and, monitor clients and being aware of clients location at all times (client should be in employee's line of vision unless inappropriate).

Specific Responsibilities:

Pass medications at the specified time to clients in the program

Count medications and log each time medications are passed

Take daily vitals for all clients to ensure that they are within in normal limits.

Conduct intakes with new clients and welcome new families 

Train all new MAs that come in to ensure proper training of company policy and protocols.

Floor Lead is responsible for adhering to the daily milieu schedule at all times

Email Program Manager each time the facility falls behind on the milieu schedule for 15 or more minutes.

Work with the program manager to generate the weekly staff meeting agenda and help prepare for the monthly training

Check and respond to emails at least once every 2 hours while on shift.

Walk through facility each day with cleaning specialist to ensure cleaning specialist cleaned all areas of facility thoroughly.

Facilitate, monitor, and document client phone privileges

Answer the telephone in a professional manner and do not give out client information without first obtaining client code. Do not let phone ring more than 2 times.

Floor lead is required to cover any open shifts if an MA is unable to cover their shift. 

Serves on the clinical team and is responsible for communicating to the direct care staff management decisions and issues which affect their performance.

Walk through facility each day to ensure the environment is clean at all times (personal hygiene items should be put away, shoes in lockers, etc…)

During walk through of the facility, ensure that no laundry baskets are kept out in the open. Laundry baskets should be placed in a closet with the door closed so that they are not exposed throughout the day.

Ensure that all pictures/portraits hanging on the walls are kept straight. If they are crooked floor lead should straighten hangings as soon as possible and walk through facility often to ensure they remain straight.

Ensure that at no time shoes are left out of lockers. Floor lead should lock up shoes immediately upon noticing shoes are not locked.

Ensure that all documents that require it are shredded by the end of each day.

Ensure that at meal time clients are served their food by the chef or by the treatment staff and do not “help themselves” in the kitchen. Clients should be redirected when going into fridge, cabinets, etc…

Check overnight recorders to ensure overnight compliance with q 15 checks. Scan overnight recorder data over to quality assurance daily.

Ensure all facility restrooms are stocked with toilet tissue and paper towels. Ensure toilet tissue is on the tissue holder. Restrooms should also be clean and sanitized. Trash bins emptied in time so that trash does not overflow out of trash bin.

Ensure facility trash is removed from facility and not left inside the house. Garbage should be tied up in trash bags, not left open when items could fall out.

 Serve as a positive role model to treatment staff, employees, clients, guests, and the public at large through a positive, caring, and professional attitude

Maintain the confidential nature of clients and related activities

Maintain an overall understanding of clients and serve as a calming supervising presence to give instruction in the event that there is a crisis

Ensure facility supplies are replenished before they are depleted.

Ensure facility vehicles are in good working condition and are fueled up at all times

Ensure services are in keeping with the Company’s Goals.

If client care specialist is not on duty then floor leader moves into the client care specialist role.

Attend ongoing mandatory training's as required by management.

Other duties as assigned

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

Experience working with adolescents 12-17 years of age

Possess knowledge of infection control, safety, and emergency procedures

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Be able to cope constructively with stressful situations
