TITLE: OCEAN EXPORT SPECIALIST

Kim Line, Inc is a leading Container, Break Bulk and Project Cargo service provider headquartered in the US. Having offices in the US, India, Canada, United Kingdom, Denmark, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and UAE.

POSITION SUMMARY - The primary objective of this role is to oversee all aspects of Ocean Import/Export operations from booking cargo to delivery with professionalism, attention to detail at every stage of transport, and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Salary will be based on experience (Range is a posting requirement - Not indicative of actual compensation.)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and track containers from origin to destination to ensure on-time delivery.
• Anticipate and problem-solve for potential issues to avoid delays and storage charges along with the ability to think on your feet if problems arise suddenly.
• Responsible for all Import/Export documentation including, but not limited to, client quotes, cargo booking contracts, pre-alerts, tracking data, issuing Bills of Lading, dock receipts, shipping instructions, letter of credit requirements, AES and CBP requests, corrections, and final approvals.
• Maintain all documents related to each shipment and customer files in an orderly and standardized manner.
• Liaise with Customs Brokers, Shipping Companies, Export related Authorities (in the US and abroad), and Suppliers.
• Foster positive relationships with all shipment participants worldwide to ensure efficient, positive, and lawful processes associated with each cargo.
• Provide accurate quotes for ocean transport and freight rates to clients and overseas offices and agents.
• Proven ability to generate profitable business relationships through new and existing relationships.
• Build strategic working relationships internally and externally.
• Bring innovative ideas to enhance business solutions – Think Outside the Box.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate is a shipping professional with vast experience in the Ocean Freight Industry. Extensive knowledge of Import/Export, Freight Forwarding, Air/Ocean, and International Logistics are considered favorable.
