Professional Learning department is looking for qualified candidates for a
Professional Learning Specialist - Teacher on Special Assignment position for the 2022-2023 school year. This is a full-time position with full benefit package available. Building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
Position Summary:The primary role of a Professional Learning Specialist is to design, develop, implement and evaluate professional learning activities for Lake Washington School District educators, including, but not limited to, courses, workshops, seminars, and academies, as well as online and blended learning activities that support the Washington State Teacher Evaluation Criteria and K-12 Learning Standards. Additional job responsibilities may include the professional mentoring and coaching of individual educators and groups within and among professional learning communities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Has taught for a minimum of five (5) years and holds a WA State Teaching Certificate
- Demonstrates the following:
- extensive knowledge of a variety of classroom management and instructional techniques
- exemplary written and oral communication
- ability to effectively manage conflict and embrace and navigate change
- ability to function with humor and flexibility
- application of critical, meta cognitive and reflective thinking
- strong work ethic
- Designs and implements effective instructional strategies, using appropriate technologies
- Remains current with education research and trends
- Pursues professional growth through goal-setting and continuous learning
