Continental Express Inc., an asset based, truckload carrier, is currently seeking a dynamic, aggressive, and highly motivated candidate to join its operation as a Terminal Manager for its new location in Oswego.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Daily communication and management of an assigned fleet of Local CDL-A drivers.
• Promote and lead employee retention initiatives with willingness to listen, interact, and assist in conflict resolution.
• Manage accountability of assigned drivers as it relates to DOT compliance, operations, equipment usage, company policies and the discipline of the same.
• Responsible for reinforcing internal customer service and driver interaction.
• Coordination of training for the drivers to ensure assigned drivers are properly trained in company policies and procedures.
• Communicate with customer as needed to ensure service needs are being exceeded
• Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Accounting, Safety, and Maintenance Departments to ensure long-range goals, plans and policies are attained.
• Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of both the interior and exterior of the facility.
• Ability and willingness to work varying hours to meet requirements of the job and serve the needs of employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in business or logistics preferred.
• Operations experience in transportation industry.
• CDL helpful but not required
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with team building skills.
• Possess high level of integrity, trust and ethics
• Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, peers and support staff.
