Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is Hiring a Roadway Designer Near Hurricane, WV

Overview

Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Charleston as a Roadway Designer in the Transportation Engineering Group. We offer a flexible hybrid work schedule of two days’ work working remotely each week or one day off every other week. CEC is seeking a candidate to assist in the growth of the firm’s Transportation Engineering practice. As a Roadway Designer for CEC, you’ll take part in design of roadway improvements and new construction from start to finish including layout, calculations, construction plan production, bid quantities, and cost estimates on all types of transportation projects for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and government clients. The selected candidate must be self-motivated and will be responsible for work including geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, drainage design, and other related efforts. This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual to develop transportation design and production skills and to assist in the growth of the transportation engineering practice within the firm.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in the design of highways preferred, WVDOH experience is a plus;
  • E.I.T. is a plus;
  • Knowledge of roadway drafting and design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred;
  • Must be well organized, accountable, and dependable.
