Sly Fox Brewing Company, a respected regional craft brewer in its 29th year of business, is looking to expand its production team and is in need of an experienced person to work in the Fermentation Cellar. This job is full-time and based at our production brewery in Pottstown, PA.

Rate: $20/hour (or higher with commensurate experience)

The Cellar Person is currently scheduled Monday-Friday, starting at 7:30 am, scheduled for an 8-hour shift. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating centrifuge equipment to deliver finished product ready for packaging, monitoring fermentations, maintaining cleanliness of cellar, and cleaning and maintaining fermentation vessels.

Our preferred candidate would have:

* Ability to work safely and abide by safety standards.

* A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a brewery, preferably a production brewery with an average annual output of 5,000 bbl or more.
* Previous experience operating a centrifuge a plus.

* Detail oriented with an obsession and eye for quality.
* High level of self-motivation to work efficiently while completing independent tasks.
* Ability to work at a fast pace, yet be precise in daily tasks.
* Ability to multitask and manage time – critical skill.
* Strong communication skills.
* Mechanical aptitude.
* Flexible availability- the ability to stay later than the standard 8-hour shift, when necessary, or flex work hours as production dictates.
* Desire to learn.
* A base knowledge of the principals regarding beer brewing and post-brewing beer handling.

* An appreciation for beer, of course!

Physical Requirements:
* Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb ladders.* Ability to work on feet for 8 hours at a time.
* Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

* Ability to maneuver 165 pounds.
* Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
* Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
* Ability to work in a moderate noise level (under 85 decibels).
