Seafood Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Seafood Manager to join our team. As a Seafood Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the seafood department, ensuring the highest level of customer service, and managing daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for seafood, excellent leadership skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional quality and freshness to our customers.
Duties:
- Manage the seafood department, including ordering, receiving, and stocking seafood products
- Ensure proper handling and storage of seafood to maintain freshness and quality
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections and inquiries
- Train and develop seafood department staff on product knowledge, customer service skills, and food safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Collaborate with other department managers to create effective sales promotions and displays
- Maintain a clean and organized seafood department in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and market conditions
Experience:
- Previous experience in a seafood department or similar role
- Strong knowledge of different types of seafood, including proper handling and storage techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions
- Proven leadership abilities with the capability to manage a team effectively
- Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Training development experience is an asset
- Familiarity with pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager is advantageous
