In Q4 2023, Intel announced that Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This role is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some point in the future, with an anticipated target of January 1, 2025. As we continue to expand our global operations, we are seeking a Workplace Operations Manager for our organization.
We are looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset, and strong knowledge of facilities management and site services. This position requires strong customer service acumen to support a diverse onsite clientele with focus on employee and workplace experience. This is a full-time onsite role based in San Jose and reports to the Director of Corporate Services. The role requires Domestic and Global travel at 20 percent.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Manage day-to-day operations of the site, ranging from custodial to life-safety, space planning, food and beverage, events, and all maintenance programs and services in-between.
Deliver programs and services to support our onsite facilities and workforce in the region.
Work closely with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and leadership to promote wellness and productivity.
Ensures the facility procedures and policies comply with all regulations in each applicable jurisdiction (e.g., local, state, federal, national, Foreign Trade Zone).
Ensure building systems and structures are inspected, perform analysis, and forecast repairs or renovations.
Oversee services contracts and manage partners/ suppliers’ relationship.
Responsible for suppliers and vendors service performance, including operational and business reviews, monitoring and driving vendors to meet Altera/Intel service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Organize and strategize the employee experience and programs.
Manage employee engagement to include leadership and key stakeholders.
Oversee site budget and partner with finance and procurement team.
Implement infrastructure projects.
Manage local safety, food service, security, janitorial, and facilities-related concerns and communicate status and updates effectively.
Manage incident and communications activities.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, project management, operations, or related field
7 years of experience in facilities management in tech or semiconductor industry.
7 years of experience in collaboration tools (i.e. Microsoft Suite, Coupa, Asana, Ariba, Service Now)
Preferred skills and qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field
