· Provide multi-level project coordination, activity planning, cost and time expenditure tracking in the Program Office’s print management database.
· Conduct broad and in-depth special studies; analyze, interpret and apply guidelines, polices, and procedures while ensuring quality performance.
· Interpret and apply guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to Government Publishing Office (GPO).
· Solve problems and manage simple to complex print projects involving various processes in outsourced print procurement.
· Interact with Government staff at all grade levels, Branch Chiefs, Managers and Directors.
· Provide technical guidance to customers at different stages of the printing process.
· Proactively seek guidance when requirements are unclear.
· Complete forms required for out-source processing through the Government Publishing Office (GPO) for submission to the customer. Obtain customer approval.
· Perform distinct quality inspections as follows:
o Acceptability of materials and printing process
o Review of work in process to prevent rework
o Final inspection at the conclusion of each major work phase
o Pre-final and pre-press inspection
o Press sheet inspection and published product.
· Proactively seek final approval from COR/AGR for acceptability of work.
· Provide instructions to prescribe policies and procedures for the procurement of all CBP mission essential printing, binding, related supplies, and related services
· Provide guidance to GPO accepted printing vendors in applying policies and procedures to ensure high quality printed products.
· Interact with vendors in the printing industry to ensure policies and procedures are kept in place.
· Interface among Program Office, GPO and the printing vendors.
