Critical Care Technician
Job Description
Critical Care Technicians provide basic care to patients and assists them in daily activities, providing comfort, transportation, and vital sign monitoring along with other patient care interventions in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.
Department: Intensive Care Unit
Hours: Days, 7am-7:30pm
Pay based on applicable experience; starting at $16.94
Responsibilities
Answers phones, patient call lights, takes messages and refers questions and answers to the appropriate individual., Applies cardiac monitor and performs EKG's., Cleans equipment and prepares for central sterile exchange of equipment/supplies., Completes assigned tasks in alignment with infection control standards., Documents and reports care delivered to patient under the direst supervision of an RN., Maintains and cares for unit supplies/equipment. Stocks supplies., May float to other units to support as needed., Performs point of care testing and bladder scans., Provides direct age-appropriate care to patients under the supervision of the RN or Patient Care Leader. Assists with activities of daily living., Tracks and monitors location of all patients, facilitates and assists in the movement of patients from one modality to the next.
Requirements:
High School (Required)
BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. - Sarah Bush Lincoln, CNA or completion of 1st semester of RN Program - Sarah Bush Lincoln
