Medix is Hiring a Credit Balance Specialist Near Lewisville, TX
- Analyze patient accounts in assigned credit balance (CB) work queues to resolve both distributed and undistributed credit balances
- Determine proper coordination of benefits
- Add missing coverage(s) to patient accounts and/or update any outdated coverage information
- Add account comments regarding coverage changes/additions, documenting who was consulted (payer contact name and phone number, reference to website, etc.)
- Analyze credit balance inquiries and potential refund requests from other departments
- Identify payer-specific trends
- 3 Years of recent Credit Balance experience
- Expert insurance payer knowledge, adjustments, refunds, credits, primary & secondary insurances
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to provide proof of last two years of employment (W2s, paystubs, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Outlook & Excel)
