Aspirus Medical Education Center in WAUSAU, WISCONSIN is seeking a Residency Program Coordinator to join our team!
The Residency Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to the ASPIRUS Wausau Family Medicine Residency Program. The individual fulfilling this role will be tasked with supporting the residency program as individual's transition into their residency assignment following the completion of medical school. Proficiency with computer programs and software partnered with a willingness to learn new programs and software as applicable will be important. The work tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on the time of year. There is an active period of recruitment for our residency program, a timeframe in which we learn who has matched and will be joining the program, as well as orientation. In each phase of the process the coordinator is actively engaged and involved with the duties that streamline the experience for all parties involved.
HOURS: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week/80 hours per pay period. Monday-Friday, standard business hours. **The position will require 1-2 Saturdays as communicated for 4-6 hours of time to support showcasing the residency program.
Experience/Qualifications:
Knowledge of office procedures normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in health or business administration, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Three to five years of progressively responsible office coordination including one year in a healthcare organization desired.
Experience with medical systems and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Computer literacy is required relative to the software programs utilized at Aspirus as well as department specific program requirements.
Is self-directed and displays good judgment with attention to detail. Possesses good organizational skills.
Possesses critical thinking skills, good communication skills, the ability to prioritize, the ability to work independently, attention to accuracy and timeliness in all work products and related work experience to develop and enhance skills.
