Recruiter is Hiring an Employment Specialist Near Worcester, MA

Job DescriptionThe Employment Specialist works under the direction of the Director of TIL Services. This position will successfully engage and retain young people referred by the Department of Youth Services (DYS). Through assessments and consultation, the Employment Specialist will work with the young person to develop and implement a career plan. Evaluation of progress toward goals in the career plan as well as discharge planning and implementation are expected. This position will build connections between LUK and key partners and work with young people to achieve their goals while adhering to LUK’s core values.
The Employment Specialist will have familiarity with employment resources in the region and will provide on-site job coaching and supervision as indicated.
Knowledge And Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • A demonstrated passion and commitment for working with young people
  • A demonstrated knowledge of employability skills training, career readiness assessment and curriculum delivery, subsidized and competitive job development and labor laws preferred
  • Experience with youth and young adults with system involvement
