**Description**

**What Youll Do:**

Flawless service is the centerpiece of hospitalityand hospitality is something we take pretty darned seriously. Our Servers are responsible for assisting guests with food and beverage choices, attending to their needs and making sure every dining experience is nothing short of spectacular. Your personality combined with your knowledge of the menu is the cant-miss combo that keeps people coming back. We will be looking to you to make every dining experience flawless.

Here are a few things you can expect to do during a typical shift:

1. Communicate effectively with guests and answer questions regarding menu items, specials and beverages.

2. Maintain knowledge of current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, and food shortages in the kitchen.

3. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.

4. Monitor and maintain the guests dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses.

**Where Youve Been:**

Were looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) and previous serving experience, preferably in an upscale dining environment. The ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure is essential. You must be able to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic and have a passion for customer service. Food Handlers and Liquor Permits are also required.

**When Youre Here:**

This probably goes without saying but youll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting and climbing stairs. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. But wait, theres a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility we offer excellent pay, hotel discounts, and the opportunity to be part of an anything-but-standard growing hotel company.

ABOUT LE CAV: THE CONCEPT

Opened in September 2020, Le Cav is an approachable French brasserie from acclaimed Chef-Partner Tyler Akin at the historic HOTEL DU PONT. Influenced by the flavors of Provence and the South of France, Le Cav offers both French classics (think: Steak Frites and a crave-worthy French Onion Soup) and inventive riffs with a natural wine list that *Travel Leisure* just praised for its excellence.

In its first few months of opening, Le Cav received widespread critical acclaim. The restaurant was featured on *CBS This Morning* in a national TV segment and lauded in the *New York Times*, *Forbes*, and *Food & Wine,* among others. Le Cav received the Best Historic Restaurant Award from Historic Hotels of America in December. The next month, the hotel was named one of the "Best Hotels in the USA by U.S. News and World Report and both the hotel and restaurant were featured in *Travel Leisures* coveted list of must-visit destinations for 2021. With a highly collaborative, hospitality-driven team, this is just the beginning.
