Old Waverly Golf Club is Hiring a Houseman Near West Point, MS
Our exclusive club is looking for a houseman to join our talented team. As a houseman, you will perform routine maintenance in the club house and assist in setting up for events, assist in breaking down after events and general janitorial duties. You will work behind the scenes to ensure that our members and guests have the most enjoyable experience possible!
Duties/Responsibilities will include:
- Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes
- Replace all air filters and clean air vents
- Set up rooms for banquets; arranging tables and chairs according to specs
- Breaking down banquets; replacing tables and chairs to original positions
- Clean and stock restrooms and showers
- Wash windows
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Use blower to blow off portico and patios
- Ensure that all tables and chairs in dining areas are level and have proper plastic glides/feet
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Required to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
- Push, pull or lift 50 pounds
- Continuous repetitive motions
- Work in hot, humid and noisy environment
