Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to implement behavior plans and provide support in various settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with ASD and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy to clients
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress and treatment sessions
- Follow all medical documentation protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy strategies and interventions
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in medical terminology and medical records management
- Understanding of special education practices and principles
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in behavioral health or related field is a plus
