Summary of Role:

Danpal North America requires a skilled professional drafter to collaborate with all departments, maintain drafting/engineering standards, and covert designs into technical plans. This is a full-time position with employment, in our Waukegan manufacturing site, with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Duties:

• Collaborate with sales, estimating, and manufacturing teams to provide custom solutions. 
• Create and maintain system details used for sales/marketing and engineering teams.
• Create and maintain drawing templates.
• Create architectural design submittal drawings for customer approval.
• Document and maintain records of all revisions and design changes for both project designs and product designs.
• Work within established project timelines to ensure tasks are completed and delivered according to project schedules.
• Create fabrication drawings for internal and external manufacturing teams.
• Calculate material requirements / bill of materials.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Degree or certificate in engineering/technology curriculum.
• Proven work experience as a drafter, for a minimum of 4yrs, in a similar role and field of work.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Expertise in AutoCAD (2D).
• Ability to read and discern Architectural and Structural drawing sets.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good math skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience working with building products.
