Directs daily activities within the department.
Facilitates employee orientation and training.
Performs area specific QA/QC procedures.
Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with the ALARA concept.
Assists physicians with radiographic procedures.
Performs various operations using radiographic and associated equipment. Assures maintenance of all radiographic and associated equipment.
Maintains patient records via appropriate system.
Performs patient care functions in a safe environment.
Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Substantiates status of good standing with state and national licensing/credentialing agencies by the submission of appropriate documentation.
Interacts effectively with all customers.
Assists staff and students in the performance of radiographic procedures and associated duties.
Participates in the evaluation of staff and students as needed.
Assists with the transportation of patients, maintains work area and performs basic clerical duties.
Certificate of completion/Degree from an Accredited Radiograph Program.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; biennial completion of minimum required CE credits to maintain required certification/accreditation
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be licensed by the NJDEPE and credentialed in radiograph and mammography by the ARRT.
Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License.
Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License.
CPR certification.
