Position Overview:
The Production Line Associate will perform various tasks on the production line to ensure the efficient and safe production of sausage and protein products. This role involves working collaboratively with team members, maintaining high standards of quality, and adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (occasional overtime and weekends as needed)

Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour, the pay rate offered is based on job experience level.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Line Operator:

  • Work on the production line according to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor product quality and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor

Assembler:

  • Assemble products on the line, including mixing, stuffing, and packaging sausages and protein items.
  • Ensure products are accurately weighed, measured, and labeled.

Sanitation Worker:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination.

Quality Control Assistant:

  • Conduct visual and physical inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Team Collaborator:

  • Work collaboratively with other production line associates and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of production processes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work in a cold and wet environment.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment:

  • The role operates within a manufacturing plant environment where the noise level can be moderate to high.
  • The production area may have cold temperatures and require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and aprons.
  • Interaction with other production team members and supervisors is frequent.
  • The work environment requires adherence to strict food safety and sanitation standards.
