The Mobile Overnight Crisis Unit will serve individuals and families in the field, meeting them where they are. This team will operate out of a mobile van that will cover Clark County and include SUD Professionals and Crisis Support Specialists.**

**Starting Pay Range ** **$17.31 - $18.71/hr**

**Four 10 hour overnight shifts**

**Position Description****:**

Provide direct services including de-escalation, risk assessment, safety planning and case management to decrease risk factors and increase success in the community. The Crisis Support Specialist functions as a fully integrated team member to provide expertise about the recovery process, symptom management, and the persistence required by clients to have a satisfying life. Collaborates to promote a team culture that recognizes, understands, and respects each clients point of view, experiences, and preferences. Responsible to maximize client choice, self-determination and decision-making in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of treatment, rehabilitation and support services.

**Essential Job Functions****:**

* Use evidence-based modalities to establish rapport and facilitate active engagement in follow-up services.

* Provide interventions in the community and support crisis services.

* Conduct risk assessments

* Develop Individual Safety plans that identify areas of risk and how to minimize that risk.

* Provide motivational interviewing skills to address/identify goals

* Participate in case consultation as indicated.

* Routinely assess for level of risk, and respond to emergent situations.

* Coordinate care with relevant internal and external providers and informal supports

* Complete all documentation and charting as required by law or agency contract.

* Collaborate with the team to promote a team culture in which each clients point of view, experiences, and preferences are recognized, understood, and respected, and in which client self-determination and decision-making in treatment planning are maximized and supported.

* Possess knowledge of client rights and ensure an atmosphere that allows for consumer privacy, dignity, and well-being in a safe secure environment.

* Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures.

**Non-essential Job Functions****:**

* Supports agency mission, goals, and objectives.

* Attend staff and planning meetings as scheduled.

* Maintain communication and cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community at large, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

* Other duties as assigned.

**Education, Licensing and Experience****:**

* Lived experience with Behavioral Health or Substance Use systems encouraged.

* Bachelors degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work preferred, but not required.

* Current, valid, and active drivers license required.

* Experience with crisis de-escalation, motivational interviewing, and community outreach preferred.

* Experience in providing support to persons with mental illness or severe emotional disturbances.

* Providing case management and treatment planning services preferred.
