Job Summary:
Responsible for providing technical expertise in performance of diagnostic radiography procedures. CT experience required.
Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks:
* Prepares patient for imaging procedures by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education,
* Operates specialty imaging equipment for image production, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images,
* Prepares patient's studies for interpretation by radiologist,
* Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
* Performs other related duties as required.
* Ensures department is TJC compliant.
* Adheres to internal controls established for the department.
Required Education / Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate from an approved school in radiographic technology.
Certification or eligible for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiologic technology.
Licensed by the State of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
