** Client Services Team Leader - Surety/Bonds**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Oversee the day-to-day delivery of Client Representative and Manager services for all Surety operations including but not limited to:
Oversee/manager client bond requests; dialogue with client and market to obtain approvals, assemble information needed, obtain approvals, and issue and execute bonds or renewals.
Manage and coordinate the client service cycle and monitor timeframes of Surety stewardship plan.
Maintain client files on Agency Management System (Epic) to perform all transactions.
Ensure all accounting is done properly including billing, collections, cash allocations, codes, and invoicing within Epic.
Maintain various reports; ex. outstanding liability for each client, etc.
Become an Epic power user and ensure training and proficiency of Surety users.
Utilize SurPath and ensure training and proficiency of Surety users.
Set priorities and manage work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
Oversee Bond Audits for assurance of bond reporting and billing.
Oversee client file audits for assurance of account balance, overall liability, and account data update.
Help to develop and act as primary control of Surety group Best Practices and Workflows.
Assist in Surety sales initiatives and marketing.
Develop thorough understanding of Surety markets, preferences, underwriting requirements, and practices. Maximize programs and carrier commission schedules.
Attend weekly staff meetings and prepare weekly round-ups assure team is prepared.
Attend Client or Carrier Market meetings when requested
As requested, work with other Unison Risk Advisors Surety teams, build collegial relationships, work on projects, campaigns, best practices, etc.
* Work closely with Corporate Division Leader and Client Executives to establish annual revenue, cost management and staffing goals for the possible expansion of the team in support of the Companys comprehensive business plan; contributes to the achievement of defined objectives for new business, retention and, most importantly, growth.
* Drive operational excellence through the establishment and execution of service standards, efficient processes/workflows and system resources with accountability for team effectiveness.
* Ensure team productivity by aligning duties, setting expectations and measuring performance; collaboratively establish annual objectives for designated team members and monitor the achievement of goals.
* Support overall team effectiveness through the timely completion and communication of assigned tasks and by sharing expertise and cross training where possible.
* Develop team member skills, individually and collectively; collaborates with Human Resources to select training and development resources that ensure employee needs are met.
* Work with Corporate Division Leader and Client Executives on strategies related to incomes, commissions, budgets, and revenues.
* Remain alert to changes in the marketplace and contributes to the innovation and development of the products and services provided; identifies and addresses expanding customer needs.
* Be present for in-person consultations with supervisors, subordinates, and others.
* Use technology (e.g. Epic) and programs for the work of the department as determined by RCM&D.
* Act as an account's Client Executive when assigned and none is present.
* Is a good role model for other employees.
* Deliver corporate decisions accurately, timely, and positively. Messaging that expresses disagreement or negativity is not appropriate.
* Other duties as assigned.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
Directly supervises up to 10 employees holding the positions of Client Representative and Client Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and mentoring; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
At least 5 to 10 or more years of industry knowledge is required. Incumbent must be able to demonstrate a track record of leadership and project management skills; strong sense of organizations values and need to be client facing in a high satisfaction environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information and make presentations to large groups is essential.

In addition to the industry experience a Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university is required. A P&C license is required; Additional professional designation(s) are preferred.
