About the role

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the CDL-A Driver will be responsible for daily operation of fleet vehicle transporting equipment and cargo to field destinations and back.

Key Responsibilities

* Safely operate CDL-A vehicles and comply with DOT and Covanta Standards

* Plan routes, complete inspections of vehicle/cargo.

* Review documents for accuracy.

* Maintain clean and orderly truck and trailer.

* Report any incidents.

This position is OTR 21 days and home 7 then repeat - DOT applicable hours

Qualifications: (what is required for someone to be successful in the position)

* GED/HS Diploma preferred - Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.

* Valid CDL A with 2 years verifiable experience OTR

* Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements with 2 years experience

* Good driving record

* High attention to detail

Physical Demands:

* Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.

* Able to travel for 3 weeks at a time.

* Able to sit for long periods of time.
