Exercise Science Clinical Assist Details

Essential Job Duties:

Responsible for following the patient care from check-in to check-out.

Schedules physical therapy for patients.

Performs dressing changes.

Responsible for taking patient vital signs and history.

Monitors patient's physical therapy progress.

Schedules MRI's, bone scans, and doppler tests.

Performs cleaning of storage room.

Checks expiration date on supplies and keeps patient rooms stocked.

Triage patient messages.

Qualifications:

High school graduate/GED.

Graduate from an accredited school with a Degree in Exercise Science (BA,BS).

Successful completion of on-the-job training in ambulatory clinic setting.

Must have the ability to communicate and interact positively with a wide variety of people.

Must be proficient with the English language, both verbally and in writing.

Must be able to document in the EMR appropriately using generally acceptable medical and professional terminology.

Functional knowledge in word processing/personal computers.

License/Certification:

Degree in Exercise Science (BA,BS).

BLS level of CPR certification is required.
