General Summary:

The Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services at Florida Health Sciences Center plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of clinical and behavioral health services across our expanding geographical footprint in the Tampa Bay and surrounding market areas across the continuum of care. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing operational, financial, and programmatic activities, ensuring alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. The role focuses on achieving the 'Quadruple Aim'-delivering excellent patient care, enhancing population health, ensuring cost efficiency, and improving the work life of providers and staff. The Senior Director represents the Behavioral Health Service line in the public, to Florida's Department of Behavioral Health and to community stakeholders as the leader of clinical services at Tampa General Hospital.

* Leads and/or serves on a variety of appropriate internal and external committees to represent the Behavioral Health Services.

* Serves as a representative of BH services across the system of care in order to facilitate the shared interests and relationships between parties.

* Lead the coordination and alignment of BH services and supporting disciplines across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

* Work with local and regional referring physicians to respond to needs for access, communications and seamless transitions of care back to the community for TGH patients following an episode of care.

* Facilitate processes to support internal and external transitions of BH care for ER, ambulatory and inpatient populations.

* Support the integration of Primary Care/Urgent Care with Behavioral Health in collaboration with leadership to standardize processes to detect and treat the behavioral health needs of patients.

* Establish network with community BH services and other health care organizations to strengthen services to underserved patients.

* Work with appropriate chairs and faculty with USF College of Medicine Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences to facilitate faculty linkages and support academic endeavors.

* Maintains membership in professional organization(s) to develop knowledge and resources through networking, continuing education, and participation in national, regional, and local activities.

* Accountable for team member satisfaction/engagement, provider competency, performance and clinical quality.

* Develops and implements recruitment and retention strategies that support progression and succession planning.

* Assists in facilitating the development and operations across the behavioral health continuums of care including, but not limited to, the outpatient setting, ambulatory setting, inpatient setting, clinical trials and research.

Experience:

* Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health services. Proven success in guiding and overseeing inpatient and outpatient psychology and neuropsychology services. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets in a dynamic environment. In-depth knowledge of behavioral health services regulations, academic healthcare practices, and evidence-based approaches. Demonstrated knowledge and ability in areas of interpersonal relations, needs assessment, planning and program development. Ability to organize thoughts in a logical and clear manner and communicate well both verbally and in writing. Experience with strategic acquisition of grants, creation of new programs, creation of strategies to build community relations and leading innovative service delivery initiatives.

Education:

* Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business or Doctorate Degree in Psychology

Professional License:

* FL Registered Nurse, Psychologist, FL Licensed Marital and Family Therapy or License Clinical Social Worker Certification

Certification:

* Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

* Certified Mental Health Professional (CMHP)

* Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE)
