Job Description Summary
As a Research Nurse Coordinator, you will join our dynamic research team in Transplant Surgery and play a crucial role in managing and coordinating clinical trials. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art research projects aimed at advancing transplantation techniques and improving patient outcomes.
Daily Work Life
•Coordinate various aspects of clinical trials, including screening of patients that are seeking liver and kidney transplantation, informed consent, enrollment, follow-up, family education, adverse event assessment, protocol adherence, data collection, and regulatory compliance in a clinical setting.
•Collaborate with a team of research coordinators, surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, clinical transplant coordinators, and organ procurement partners.
•Participate in innovative research studies, including industry-sponsored, grant-funded, and investigator-initiated projects focusing on organ availability, preservation, biomarkers, and intraoperative medications.
Working Hours
•Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, with flexible hours to accommodate study needs and team dynamics.
•Shared weekend and holiday on-call rotation with additional stipends provided.
•On-call requirements vary based on study needs, often involving remote work but may necessitate some on-site presence.
•Flexibility to accommodate off-hour demands due to the 24/7 nature of transplant procedures.
Study Focus and Team Collaboration
•Work alongside abdominal transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals to drive advancements in patient care through clinical studies and novel research.
•Engage in research projects aimed at increasing organ availability, optimizing preservation techniques, improving rejection rates, and refining intraoperative medication management.

Salary Range$59,600.00 - $103,600.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
