I am currently recruiting for an AWS Data Engineer for a permanent (NOT contract) , hybrid (3 days onsite) employment opportunity for my financial services client. This role will be based in St. Louis, MO.
My client is seeking a data engineer who has solid experience working in AWS and AWS Glue . In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure on an AWS platform using large volumes of data. Daily responsibilities will include data ingestion, transformation, storage, data sharing and consumption as well as implementing data security and privacy measures. All candidates must have data engineering experience working in an AWS environment and with AWS Glue.
My client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package. They are currently working in a hybrid model (onsite Tues-Thurs, Work From Home on Mon and Fri). My client is NOT offering Sponsorship at this time.
Requirements Include:

• Minimum 5 years if progressive data engineering experience.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, as well as SQL for database querying and manipulation.
• Strong understanding of AWS services related to data engineering, such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora Postgres, AWS Step Function, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Data Zone, Amazon Kinesis, MSK and Amazon EMR.
• Understanding and experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Glue Workflows, AWS Step Functions and notification services.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
