Job Summary:The overall purpose of the Restorative Aide position is to assist in the provision of restorative and/or rehabilitative care to patients as appropriate, and to assist in the provision of regular Patient care as may be directed.

Job Summary:The overall purpose of the Restorative Aide position is to assist in the provision of restorative and/or rehabilitative care to patients as appropriate, and to assist in the provision of regular Patient care as may be directed.
QualificationsQualifications:
- State certification as a Nursing Assistant is mandatory.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. Assist in the provision of restorative or rehabilitative care.
- Performs restorative nursing tasks such as ambulation, range of motion, positioning, self-feeding, etc., within the scope of individuals' training.
- Promotes and supports the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
- Advises Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) of Patient's status daily.
- Contributes knowledge of Patient's conditions/needs to patient care plans.
- Assists in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
- Observes and reports on Patients' conditions and documents observations as required.
- Promotes safe and clean environment.
- Complies with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.
- Assists in care and maintenance of therapy area and equipment.
- Assures that equipment is clean and functional.
- Attends in-service training programs.
- Attends monthly Quality Assurance Meetings.
- Responsible for monthly and weekly weights.
- Attends weekly rehab meetings
- Ability to function as a Team Leader/Role Model.
- Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
- Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
- Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
