JOB SUMMARY Supports activities of Marketing Dept., coordinates internal and external communication and activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in development of the content strategy for all SMH communication platforms / channels.
Manage SMH social media channels through advanced planning, graphic design, posting messages and analytics review.
Support marketing efforts through the effective and timely management of planning platforms currently utilized (i.e. Trello).
Assist in the tracking of spending and weekly / monthly review of the Marketing / Communications budget.
Assist in the production (including designing and printing) and distribution of marketing materials (brochures, business cards, etc).
Assist in the production and distribution of staff related communications (print and digital / email).
Encourage and display behaviors supporting a culture of kindness at SMH among the employees.
Active participant in various hospital events; represent SMH & marketing department at community events as appropriate.
Work with administration and other staff to plan staff activities and events, promote them to staff through various communication tools.
Work with patient relations and volunteer services on events / activities.
Participate in weekly staff meetings, providing project / activity updates and opinions and input regarding hospital and departmental matters.
All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education / Experience / Licenses
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, marketing or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of communications, marketing or related community experience, preferred.
Additional Skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word Press, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, email marketing.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong creative skills.
Specific demands not listed : Possible exposure to blood and or body fluids / infectious disease / hazardous waste requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Exposure to odorous chemicals / specimens and Latex products.
