Job Title: Part-Time Program Associate

Location: Washington Policy Center

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Hours: 20 hours per week through November 1, 2024, with the possibility of extension

Position Overview:

Washington Policy Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Program Associate to provide logistical and administrative support focused on events and fundraising efforts. This position will report directly to the COO and work closely with our Executive Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, possess excellent communication skills, and results-oriented.

This role is hybrid with a minimum of one day a week in the Seattle office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of events, including WPC's Annual Dinners.
  • Support in coordination of event logistics, including venue setup, catering, and guest accommodations.
  • Maintain and update event databases, registration lists, and attendee records.
  • Assist in preparation of event materials such as programs, name tags, and signage.
  • Provide on-site support during events, including registration and attendee assistance.
  • Assist with post-event tasks, including survey collection and event debriefs.
  • Other administrative and operational duties as assigned to support success in WPC communications, engagements, and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
  • Experience in event planning or coordination, through internships, volunteer work, or previous employment preferred.
