5 days onsiteDuration: 12 Months USC & GCSummary/Job PurposeThe Senior Information Security Engineer is a member within the IAM Team who will implement and support various security-related applications and tools to meet corporate cybersecurity initiatives. The duties can range from supporting our Okta identity platform, to rolling out WebAuthn, to managing access security groups, to implement a new zero-trust tool, etc
By applying critical thinking, data analysis, and collaborating with key business stakeholders and technology partners, this position will deliver security solutions to facilitate secure and controlled access across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background and experience in implementing and maintaining systems running in the Cloud (SaaS, AWS, or Azure) or on-premise. In addition to being technically adept, the candidate will need to be comfortable collaborating with stakeholders. Having a proactive continuous improvement mindset is a necessity for this role.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the access management service, including workforce identity and customer IAM
- Collaborate and consult with business and functional partners to develop an appropriate access and governance framework based on the least privilege and zero trust security model with good user experience in mind
- Analyze and implement appropriate technology tools including data visibility, user provisioning/de-provisioning automation, NAC, access auditing, and credential management
- Ensure role and access entitlements are appropriately granted and secure
- Work with relevant compliance teams to research and translate global regulatory requirements pertaining to access management and identity governance into technical solutions
- Contribute to the overall information security vision and strategy
- Maintain current and accurate as-built and operational documentation of the service
- Produce metrics (KPI) regularly on the health of the service
- Responsible for vendor management, including product and vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management and consulting management

- Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 7 years of related experience; or
- Master's degree in related discipline and 4 years of related experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification.
- Ten plus years of experience working in Information Technology
- Six plus years of experience working in a cybersecurity role
- Demonstrated experience and success delivering innovative solutions supporting identity management, data permissions, SSO, and MFA.
- Experience implementing & managing an IAM platform, e.g., Okta, OneLogin, Auth0, and Microsoft
- Experience implementing & managing privileged access management (PAM), e.g., CyberArk and BeyondTrust
- Experience implementing & managing identity governance & administration (IGA), e.g., SailPoint and Omada
- Experience in Biotech/Pharma is a plus
- Knowledge of common information security and data management frameworks
- Sound knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of information security risk management and cybersecurity technologies
- Knowledge of SSO methods, e.g., SAML, OpenID Connect, and OAuth
- Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and IT
- Technical knowledge of IAM, CIAM, PAM, MFA, IGA, and digital certificate solutions.
- Ability to foster collaborative working relationships with technology groups and other stakeholders, including vendor relationships
- Ability to lead others irrespective of reporting structure
- Ability to define and articulate complex process flows.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance, to adapt to frequent priority changes, and response to ad-hoc requests
- Thorough planning and tracking skills, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management
- Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
- Ability to leverage both internal and external resources to expedite and deliver projects
- Ability to work in a team environment, create timelines, and continually make necessary adjustments
- Excellent writing, presentation, and oral communication skills
