Accounts Receivable

Do you have at least two years of experience supporting with accounts receivable and / or billing? Do you have to work for a great team?

We are looking for an accounts receivable professional for a new job opportunity in San Mateo, CA. This role would start on contract but does have potential to become a full-time role for the right person.

Key Responsibilities :

• Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients for goods and services rendered.
• Ensure invoices comply with contractual agreements and internal policies.
• Maintain records of invoices sent and payments received.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances.
• Implement collection strategies to minimize overdue payments and reduce accounts receivable aging.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner.
• Post customer payments to appropriate accounts in the accounting system.
• Reconcile payments received with invoices issued to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between payments and invoices.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar financial role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior experience with Deltek is a plus
