Intermountain Healthcare is Hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Connect Care Near Salt Lake City, UT

Job Description:
Must be PMHNP certified
Connect Care provides health care services to consumers into their homes or other remote locations in the Intermountain region via telehealth modalities (video, e-visits, phone, messaging, etc.). The Connect Care Behavioral Health practice offers care 7 days per week, 7am - 7pm, for mild to moderate mental health diagnoses with medication checks, refills, adherence, and management.
This position will support the healthcare workforce.
This NP will work four 10-hour shifts, Saturday, Sunday and two weekdays of their choice with at least one shift working until 7 p.m.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Connect Care
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:
Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
Consultation with other healthcare providers;
Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.
Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
-and-
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- and -
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- and -
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
- and -
Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
- and -
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- and -
Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).

  • Shift Details: Specific schedule to be determined. This NP will work with a team of 3 others to provide coverage 7 days per week.

  • While our team is based in Murray, Utah there is opportunity to work remotely after training has been completed.
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
  • 3 or more years of psychiatric APRN clinical experience.
  • Prior experience with Telehealth or similar technology.
  • Familiarity/comfort with documentation in HELP2 and/or iCentra.

    Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

    Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

    Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

    May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
