These valuable team members assist in clean-up, sanitation and disinfection of tables and surrounding areas in the dining room. Responsible for preparing dishes for the dishwasher, washing pots and pans, sweeping and mopping floors, and helping with dining room tasks such as wiping tables and refilling supplies. Position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Serving as a representative of Roanoke College, Dining Services employees must display courtesy, tact and respect in all interactions with our students, members of the RC community, and with the general public. Must be able to work every other weekend. This is a full-time, fully benefitted 9-month position following the academic year. Non-slip shoes are required and a shoe allowance is provided, as are uniforms. Benefits include a free meal each day, and tuition assistance after one year of service.
