The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Strategy, Project Management and Communication Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

* Responsible for CBG's strategy development and planning by working with the leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic direction and operating plans for the BG

* Manage market and competitive intelligence and benchmarking for inputs to BG strategic and annual plans, and quarterly performance reviews

* Manage BG-level portfolio and transformation management processes through PMO leader

* Lead inorganic and business development value creation activities, including M&A research, exploration, due diligence and analysis; external partnerships; equity investment opportunities; intellectual property acquisition or sale; and presentations for related executive reviews (e.g., PMR, Quarterly M&A)

* Build and create content for executive forum presentations (e.g., EC, LC, BOD, THs, EMVs) in partnership with communication and PMO leader

* Lead development of agenda and planning for XLT meetings; supports EMVs

* Translates strategic plan into operating plan scorecard, inclusive of PMO and CBG Communication goals

* Drives calendar harmonization across the business group through communication and PMO leaders

* Lead global growth strategy development and projects for MOC leaders based on BG-level priorities, leveraging an intake and prioritization process

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

* Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

* Minimum of twelve (12) years of combined experience in strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing, and/or general business management in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

* MBA or Master's degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in business strategy or marketing

* Knowledge & experience in working in Consumer markets or products.

* Knowledge and experience with the theories and practices of one or more disciplines such as: market research, new product development, M&A, financial concepts

* Proven track record in providing novel and innovative solutions to complex or difficult strategic issues

* Excellent communication skills, both written and visual graphics/chart creation

* Very strong analytics and financial acumen

* Ability to lead through influence at high levels in the organization

* Strong logical, organizational and prioritization skills

* Ability to deal with abstract concepts and changing environment

* Ability to build a holistic business case leveraging market insights, internal realities and financials, packaged in tight logical argument

* Strong understanding and interest in consumer and retail markets, with drive for learning more and advancing CBG's capabilities

* Previous experience in as a Strategy, Area Portfolio, Global Portfolio and/or Bus Dev leader

* Self-driven and action oriented

Work location:

* Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood 3M Center at least 2 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $259,007 - $316,564, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
