Accessible Space is Hiring a Grant Writer Near Saint Paul, MN

Accessible Space Inc. (ASI) is a national nonprofit organization providing housing and personal care services to individuals with physical disabilities, seniors and veterans.
Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI) seeks a Full-Time Grant Writer to contribute to ASI’s mission by securing public and philanthropic funding for Accessible Space, Inc. and its nonprofit affiliates at our Administrative office in St Paul. Hybrid work schedule available!
In this position you will manage relationships with potential funders to assure that proposals are submitted on a timely basis and that requests fall within established funder priorities and limitations. Research and seek new funding opportunities for ASI general operations. Collaborate with senior administrative staff to network and find potential opportunities to submit funding proposals. Coordinate the submission of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and city/county/state applications that may be of interest to ASI, and support ASI’s low income housing tax credits (LIHTC) developments. Work closely with senior administrative staff in preparing applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME, Housing Trust Fund, Federal Home Loan Bank Affordable Housing Program and other funds that may become available from governmental or private entities. Collaborate with the ASI’s President/CEO to prepare a calendar of submissions, revising and incorporating new sources as necessary.
Qualifications: A minimum of seven years of successful experience in a fundraising/grant writing role where multiple tasks and priorities were successfully managed. Proficiency in MS Work and Excel with an ability to learn additional commercial and custom software programs. The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with funders, regulators, managers, internal support functions and external organizations. Exceptional written communications skills and the ability to create compelling proposals from strategic research and demographic data. Excellent oral communication skills. A demonstrated ability to work collectively as a member of a team on large scale, time-sensitive projects.
