What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team.

You will help transform our software and processes to efficiently and consistently deploy in a reliable and secure fashion. You will leverage industry best-practices to deliver a scalable and compliant path to production, and will operate as part of a team that maintains existing services and processes.

• Build highly scalable, reliable CI/CD processes for our carbon registry and auction platforms.
• Work closely with the development teams to create automation strategies for deployment, self-test, and alerting.
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions tailored to address specific operational, compliance, and pipeline issues.
• Drive continuous delivery of software, resolve incidents, and run incident post-mortems.
• Provide feedback on engineering architecture decisions and automate repetitive operational tasks.

• Help improve our deployment procedures to make them more efficient.
• Enhance documentation and processes related to DevOps efforts.
• Ensure that all aspects of our infrastructure meet and maintain compliance standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest guidelines and integrate them into our operational practices.
• Mentor more junior team members professionally to help them realize their full potential

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

• 8 years of experience in SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering for SaaS products.
• Experience with AWS Lambda or other serverless platforms is desired.
• 3 years of experience in leading design and architecture of infrastructure (cloud and on-prem combined).
• 7 years of experience in running software operations.
• Preferred experience inside a heavily regulated environment.
• Experience in leveraging Bash scripting.
• Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments.
• Familiar with IaaC and tools (Terraform or Pulumi).
• Familiarity with CI and practical delivery using any of Github Actions, Travis, CircleCI, Codefresh, Spinnaker, Jenkins or buildkite.
• Familiarity with deployment strategies like blue green, rolling deploys, canary deploys and best practices around deployment automation (with tools like shipit or spinnaker) is desired.
• Demonstrated professional experience working in at least 1 main language (Python/Go/Ruby/etc).
• Familiarity with SecOps and Compliance processes is desired.
• Keeping a pulse on latest cloud technology trends and Open Source.

Travel

The Staff DevOps Engineer may need to travel for specific and well-defined business purposes.
