Position Summary: The RN is responsible and accountable for providing and coordinating patient care. The RN identifies and addresses patient's needs and priorities through assessment, planning and collaboration with other health care providers. The RN will execute physician orders and supervise the implementation of nursing interventions. The RN functions as a patient advocate representing the patient's interests when illness prevents an individual from being physicially or emotionally able to express their own feelings or thoughts. The RN evaluates response to care through the outcomes of clinical results, patient satisfaction and acceptable cost.
Job activities are fairly complex and highly diversified but are structured within a predefined work routine. Involves the exercise of judgement in the analysis of facts or conditions regarding patient care or hospital problems to determine what action should be taken within the specifications of standard practice.
