MELE Associates, Inc. is Hiring a Project Coordinator Supervisor with Security Clearance Near Rockville, MD

The Project Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting across the project life cycle. They also manage a team of project coordinators who will assist with mentorship and training plans as well as collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success. Strong analytical and organizational skills, an understanding of accounting principles, proficient working knowledge of Excel and Word, and the ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities is required. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who can meet deadlines, facilitate a project through completion, work effectively as part of a team and independently and be a strong supervisor. This is a full-time position with some local travel to D.C. required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Supervise and manage project control personnel, including training, mentoring and evaluating their performance to ensure alignment with project goals and organizational standards
* Oversee and facilitate contract travel requirements, including the review and approval of travel requests and expense reports
* Review and verify client and subcontractor invoices for accuracy in labor rates, categories, and overall spending
* Identify and address issues and concerns on multi-level contract documents and reports
* Prepare and present monthly cost, travel, and supplemental reports for clients and management in Excel and Word
* Consolidate and finalize monthly status reports in Word and Adobe tools
* Review subcontractor hours and costs to assist in managing Purchase Order (PO) funding needs, projecting months in advance to determine spend rates and allowable amounts on contract/POs and ensuring cost remains within budget
* Compile data and generate detailed reports in Excel for various levels of program review
* Participate in proposal preparation and review, providing costing and administrative support
* Maintain a strong customer service focus, effectively collaborating with Vice President’s, Project Managers (PM’s), vendors and employees.
* Communicate effectively with corporate staff regarding project accounting, contracts, security and human resource issues
* Generate financial projections and budgets on a monthly, quarterly, yearly, or as-required basis aligned with reporting requirements
* Understand contract modifications and the allocation of funding/ceilings on Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs)
* All other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * BS/BA Degree, preferably in business, accounting or other related field; or the equivalent years of experience to replace degree (7 years equates to a BS/BA)
* 3-5 years experience in project control, project management or a related field
* Ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q security clearance
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
* Knowledge of contract management and accounting principals
* Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Clear and professional written and oral communication, analytical and organizational skills
* Ability to create a positive rapport and work effectively with a variety of colleagues and clients PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Master’s Degree in business, accounting or other related field
* 5-7 years of experience in project control, project management or a related field
* Experience with Earned Value Management and other advanced project control techniques
* Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within project control or project management
* Familiarity with Government contracts and compliance requirements
* Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
* Current DOE Q security clearance LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Washington, DC 20024, USA * Telework options are available with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week, based on the level of in-person meetings and office needs.
