SUMMARY Responsible for the installation of business and residential structured cabling infrastructure that supports customer voice, data and video networks. Other duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES Installation of CAT 3, 5 & 6, CATV and fiber wiring for voice and data. Must be installed according to NEC standards and requirements. Terminate all wiring listed above on panels, jacks, splitter cabinets, etc. Operate Company Vehicle in a safe and courteous manner. Test all cabling systems after installation is complete using the appropriate test equipment for the wiring type. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma required 1 - 2 years low voltage wiring experience preferred. Mechanically and technically minded. Proficient with power and hand tools. Working knowledge of structure cabling systems and standards including ANSI, TIA, 568A and 568B. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, work outdoors and work in confined space BICSI preferred.
