Production Planner
Rochester, NY
$30/hour

Up to 6-month contract opportunity
Kelly Services has formed a strategic partnership with a prominent global chemical company. Renowned as a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry, our client places a strong emphasis on sustainability and actively strives to minimize its environmental footprint.
We are seeking a detailed, results-driven professional with a demonstrated history of success in planning and production. This individual will have an exciting opportunity to join our client's team for a duration of up to 6 months, supporting the Supply Chain department in efficient and effective production planning.
Responsibilities:
- Run exception report daily using SAP to identify sku's that require immediate planning.
- Plan production of finished goods and intermediate goods with guidance from the Master Planner, utilizing SAP and Manufacturing Workbench (MWB).
- Maintain the production plan based on feedback from operations, using SAP and MWB.
- Respond to basic email data requests from stakeholders, including customer service, operations, Master Planner, and Product Management.
- Provide a daily report to the Master Planner at the end of each workday, highlighting exceptions and open items.
- Review and code Market Service Level Failures in SAP and Excel.
- Participate in daily production/planning update meetings.
- Attend a weekly on-site planning meeting with operations.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the planning function.
Requirements:
- Experience in planning, inventory, demand management, or customer service within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in using SAP for planning and production purposes.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Workbench (MWB) software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
