Position Title: IBM Tivoli/ Control M Expert - Contract to Hire
Location: Richmond, VA/MD
Duration: Contract to Hire (12 plus months contract to Hire)
 
 Candidate with 7 years of experience in the following: 
 Responsibilities & Expectations: 
· Analyzing and understanding the current job scheduling environment. 
· Collaborating with IT personnel to gather requirements for new job schedules. 
· Implementing and testing new job schedules, ensuring proper documentation. 
· Providing timely responses and resolutions to job-related incidents. 
· Conducting training sessions for IT staff on best practices and troubleshooting techniques. 
· Keeping abreast of IBM Tivoli updates and recommending upgrades when necessary. 
· Working knowledge of PowerBuilder, C and UNIX scripting. 
· Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL 
· Working knowledge of the Print Control Language (PCL) 
· Proficiency in Object Orient analysis and design techniques. 
· Working experience with Windows and Linux servers/ Environments. 
· Ability to perform systems analysis, project planning, and project management activities to design solutions to complex business problems. 
· Ability to independently analyze program specifications and to code and test programs according to specifications. 
· Ability to independently conduct system testing, coordinate changes, and resolve problems across multiple areas. 
· Demonstrated ability to analyze business and technical requirements to develop and execute test plans/strategies. 
· Engineer, consult and upskill other IT team members on DevOps (CI/CD) and infrastructure automation, automated CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and operations. 
· Generating innovative ideas, developing proof-of-concepts and rapid prototypes alongside other engineers utilizing pair programming and mobbing techniques 
· Ability to clearly articulate and explain complex concepts and technologies to a non-technical audience. 
· Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with engineering teams and solving complex system problems together. 
· Establishing proactive monitoring and alerting capabilities exist for all components of the platform. 
· Working experience with version control tool such as GitHub / Azure DevOps 
· Ability to write design specifications for complex programs. 
· Ability to solve automated system problems and work in a team environment.
