Summary: The General Manager will be responsible for overall company operational excellence, overseeing multiple key functions in the business, and driving both top and bottom line growth. This person is a highly strategic thinker, capable of quickly assessing scenarios and translating strategy into action plans. The General Manager will provide strong leadership to inspire the team to take action without being prescriptive. This person has experience honing their operational, strategy, and management skills in a challenging and developing environment and is well-versed in how to manage complex inventory-based operations at scale. The position will lead multiple teams, including production, sales, customer experience and people operations, to ensure the entire business is operating efficiently. In addition, the General Manager will optimize DSA's operating capabilities and employ strategies to maximize customer satisfaction. The position will develop the data and information as necessary to understand current and future operational landscape and employ strategies to safeguard assets and stock. Overall, the General Manager will be in lock-step with the B.O.D and the executive team, helping to chart the course for the present performance and future growth of DSA Doors. Key Accountabilities:
Ensure overall successful operations in the sales, marketing, production, warehouse and general administration for the company.
Specifically in sales and marketing: monitor and evaluate sales; develop effective marketing strategy to achieve target sales.
Specifically in production and warehouse: monitoring and evaluate the standard of product quality; improve efficiency and cost effective operations; productivity management; maintenance of machineries and labor; quality controls and measurability.
Translate strategies into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, and annual operating plans.
Mentor efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of operations and functionality.
Oversee the company's operations and employee productivity; building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
Drive DSA's operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
Successful at achieving profitability and business transformation, identifying revenue opportunities and production capability, and leading employee and customer satisfaction.
Evaluate, improve and establish SOP's and KPI's that align with best practices.
Accountable for driving lean initiatives throughout the various operations to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
Supervisory Responsibility: •Directly manage Production leaders, Sales leader, Warehouse leader and Product Development leader. •Indirectly manage all staff in production, sales and warehouse. •Create a positive environment for company growth. Education and Experience:
8 plus years in manufacturing operations management
5 years of leading a successful company/team
Bachelor's degree in business, operations or manufactory related field, Master degree in related field or MBA preferred
Must possess superb business acumen, including accounting and financial management
Motivated, results-driven team-builder with track history of successfully leading through multiple stages of growth and change
Self-directed entrepreneurial mind-set to courageously and strategically develop a company
Successful at achieving initial profitability and business transformation, identifying revenue opportunities and production capability, and leading employee and customer satisfaction
Knowledge of lean and six sigma best practices. Lean Green Belt and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
