Position Overview:

Our banking client is seeking a highly experienced IT Delivery Lead with a focus on Data & Tools Delivery Projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a banking or financial environment. This role is crucial for aligning strategic objectives with project execution, managing the complete delivery lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Delivery Oversight:

- Collaborate with technology leaders, enterprise PMOs, and product management to align strategic objectives and roadmaps with assigned workstreams.

- Facilitate quarterly and annual planning focused on delivering business value as outlined in objectives and roadmaps.

- Advise technology leadership and drive the adoption of enterprise standards and best practices across the area of responsibility.

- Delivery Execution:

- Own the complete delivery lifecycle from initiation to completion.

- Be accountable for scope, roadmaps, and impediment management.

- Manage and govern the development and execution of assigned technology and enterprise projects/programs.

- Oversee and communicate the delivery of these programs, driving results to achieve business outcomes.

- Lead cross-functional development from design to delivery.

- Strategize, schedule, and align resources essential for executing large initiatives and programs, ensuring delivery of key business outcomes.

- Monitor progress and performance of initiatives and programs, examining outcomes to identify potential issues, risks, and areas of improvement.

- Communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders through reports and other documentation.

- Delivery Operations & Process Compliance:

- Evaluate opportunities to streamline processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency, addressing bottlenecks in the end-to-end flow.

- Implement best practices to drive efficiency and improve time to production.

- Partner with enterprise PMO as needed to ensure all projects meet quality standards and compliance, including SDLC, Project Management Lifecycle, Agile Standards, etc.

- Drive standardization of delivery practices in alignment with enterprise standards and controls.

- Promote best practices, governance, compliance, and standards across the delivery organization.

- Project Planning:

- Define project scope, deliverables, objectives, and develop a project schedule.

- Project Execution:

- Ensure completion of deliverables per schedule, adhering to the defined SDLC process.

- Stakeholder Communication:

- Ensure clear communication between the team, product owner, and relevant stakeholders.

- Risk Management:

- Identify risks, issues, and mitigation plans. Remove impediments in a timely manner.

- Project Reporting:

- Monitor and report project progress, provide timely feedback.

- Publish weekly and monthly status reports.

Qualifications:

- Experience:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a banking or financial environment.

- Proven experience in managing data and tools delivery projects.

- Skills:

- Strong strategic planning and execution skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in project management and delivery lifecycle methodologies, including SDLC and Agile.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage resources effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

- Technical Expertise:

- In-depth knowledge of data management and tools delivery.

- Familiarity with enterprise PMO processes and compliance standards.
