Job Summary: The Field Project Manager position is to provide support to the Lead Techs and Team Leads within FO as defined in detail under major responsibilities. Additionally, this position will provide analysis of any projects that experience a significant variance in budget or schedule. In certain cases where management requires short-term focus on a particular project or issue, this position may be assigned a short-term special assignment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in Project Kick-off Meeting to review Order Package, client expectations, etc.
• Thoroughly review the Quote Package and clarify any scope or material items
• Identify special requirements and client dependencies and track accordingly
• Coordinate start and completion dates based on client demands and site readiness
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure material availability for the project and identify any potential lead time issues. Establish material availability per the project plan.
• Create a Project Plan
• Ensure site readiness prior to scheduling Field Operations on site
• Request and project manpower requirements at the weekly operations meeting
• Provide and Review the Project Plan with the site lead and achieve “Buy-In” on the project plan with the site lead.
• Coordinate material deliveries consistent with starting work on site & the Project Plan
• Provide a project plan to the Lead Tech/Team Lead and set expectations
• Track and support productivity by activity based on budget vs actual
• Take corrective action as required to maintain critical path activities
• Develop a complete list as a guideline for the installation team
• Ensure that Installation is per plans and Specifications
• Conduct periodic Quality audits throughout the installation
• Conduct a Final Quality audit for the site
• Communicate schedule status to project team and escalate issues to management as needed
• Manage scope changes and requests from a client in a timely manner
• Request strategic site visits based on established milestones for quality audits
• Communicate effectively with the Client throughout the entire process
• Provide training and support for the installation team
• Review completion list for any open items
• Review and confirm that all punch list items are complete and accepted
• Provide ALL close-out documentation to the client

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Specific knowledge or skills related to the position.
• Additional skills related to personality (interpersonal skills, technology skills, or other).

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• 7 plus years of experience in the installation of cabling & electronic devices, 4 years of which were in a Team Lead or Supervisor role
• A demonstrated strong proficiency in oral/written communication.
• A demonstrated proficient use of Premiere project tools (SSP, PBAR, ML, CRL, etc.)
• Fundamentally understand and be able to produce valid schedules and effectively project the manpower required to meet project schedules.
• Possess multiple manufacturers and BICSI certifications.

Physical Requirements:

Typical standard office environment conditions; sitting, standing, walking, and minimal lifting. The employee may occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
