Job Summary: The Business Analyst/Procurement Manager is responsible for the technical analysis, training, and feasibility assessments associatedwith new software applications and implementation processes. In the Procurement Manager role, also administers all facetsof the purchasing process, travel and expense policy, within set organizational guidelines. Essential Job Functions: Business Analyst
Manages RFP process and software implementation for accounting modules
Redesigns business process
Identifies and communicates with key stakeholders
Liaises between various business departments and groups
Assess options for process improvement
Maintains documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations
Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams
Communicate with third party vendors and partners to address technical questions, issues, or requests
Schedule, plan, and lead requirement gathering and review meetings. Communicate key decisions and action items.
Analyze existing software applications to understand and document functionality
Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation
Identify automation opportunities
Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements
Manage system implementation and integration
Procurement Management
Initiates and coordinates purchasing process.
Initiates and maintains vendor resources and relationships while continually scouting for additional vendors.
Conducts cost analyses, sets benchmarks for improvement, and communicates accordingly with management
Evaluates spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and thetimeliness of deliveries.
Communicates with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services
Works closely with the legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable
Supervises a matrixed purchasing team and delegates tasks across departments when necessary
Develops risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
Specific Responsibilities Administers travel policy in accordance with established travel and expense policy.
Maintains the integrity of the purchasing process.
Initiates purchase orders; coordinates all facets of the purchasing process; follows through in accordance with established procedures.
Develops and maintains vendor resources and relationships.
Prepares specifications for bids; evaluates costs and makes recommendations regarding vendor selection; monitors and conducts preliminary negotiations as directed.
Prepares cost analyses, budget data, and other reports.
Maintains files, inventory and other records
Provides clerical support from time to time.
Assists the four division managers with special projects and support, where needed.
Handles administration of travel policy with travel agent.
Books travel arrangements for constituents according to travel policy.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Five years of on-the-job accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Excellent personal computer skills.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent internet research skills.
Required Microsoft GP experience with purchasing module experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
Cost consciousness.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deal with the public.
Experience in business negotiations.
Experience choosing a new software solution and installing accounting software modules.
Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions
Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems
Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols
Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Requires knowledge of financial and accounting terms and principles
