**Job Description**

Entry Level Position needed for Monday-Friday **6am-3pm Shift**

**Scope of Position:** Customer Service Agent with focus on inbound shipment processes. Expect a four to six month training/on-boarding period.

**Core Competencies**

* **Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing-**Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to Expeditors' operational procedures. Follows customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues. Consistently meets KPI standards, as per company's procedures.

* **Timely and Accurate Data Entry-**Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer requirements. Monitors exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.

* **Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting-**Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Expeditors and customer requirements. Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves. Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.

**Specific Tasks and Duties**

* Log & prepare files

* Receiving and filing documents

* Monitor shipments

* Arrange deliveries with service providers

* Superior customer service

* Invoicing

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Complete on the job training, both instructor lead and self-guided.

* Enter data timely and accurately into Expeditors proprietary systems

* Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow

* Collect, sort, and electronically label/file documents

* Validate data provided by customers, government agencies and service providers

* Communicate with customers and other Expeditors offices to obtain missing documentation/information.

* Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards

* Utilize various industry websites to obtain required information/data.

* Contribute and maintain good relationships with service providers

* Meet compliance at all times

* Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests

* Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy

**Qualifications**

* Strong desire to learn

* Positive Can-Do Attitude

* Pro-active, strong organizational skills

* Willingness to engage with customers, vendors, government agencies, and the Expeditors network.

* Driven towards positive results through effective interpersonal skills, including abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely

* Proficient computer skills (including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook)

* Fluent in English
