Portland Thorns FC is Hiring a Web Coordinator Near Portland, OR

The RoleAs the Web Coordinator for Portland Thorns FC, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining our website, ensuring its functionality, usability, and effectiveness in engaging our audience. You will be responsible for posting daily updates, running marketing campaigns, and collaborating with various constituents to deliver compelling digital content that resonates with fans of the club and supports our core business objectives. Additionally, you will provide insight and ideas for longer-term digital development projects, working closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance the overall digital experience for our audience.

WHAT YOU’ll BE UP TO
  • Maintain and update the organization's website on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of content.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing and content campaigns on the website, promoting events, merchandise, and other initiatives to drive engagement and revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and digital media, to align website content with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Provide insight and ideas for longer-term digital development projects, contributing to the enhancement of the website's functionality, design, and user experience.
  • Work with external constituents who have a presence on the website, including sponsors, partners, and affiliates, to ensure their needs and objectives are met.
  • Monitor website performance and analytics, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement to enhance user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web development and digital marketing, and apply relevant insights to enhance our digital strategy.
What It Takes To Be a Thorn
  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a relevant field, with a proven track record of managing websites and executing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of web development principles, content management systems (CMS), and digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and concepts for website content and digital initiatives.
  • Experience and interest in sports, sports culture, and fan engagement.
  • Passion for the growth and development of women's soccer, with a vested interest in advancing the sport and engaging fans through digital channels.
