TITLE: Electrical Engineer/ Lead

LOCATION: 3400 Mcknight Drive Pittsburg PA 15237

DURATION: 6 months Contract

• The Electrical Engineer/ Lead shall provide direction, supervision, and coordination for a team of engineers and designers to successfully complete electrical design, technical analysis, and resolution of engineering problems pertaining to large industrial projects and shall work in conjunction with Project Managers and other team members to resolve schedule and resource challenges resulting from various project requirements.

The duties of the Electrical Department Manager shall include (but will not be limited to) the following:

• Guide subordinate staff in carrying out design and engineering of power distribution, substations, arc flash/short circuit/coordination studies, controls, lighting, and grounding systems. ? Review and approve technical quality of work performed within the Department.
• Maintain knowledge of new technical developments in the discipline by reading technical literature and by contacts within and outside the company.
• Direct development of and approve standard specifications, design and drawing procedures in the Department.
• Review unusual or complex design problems, and provide guidance for their solution either personally, or by subordinate staff.
• Ensure that all necessary inter-discipline and other communications are being effectively accomplished at all levels. ? Resolve disputes and conflicts that develop within the Department or with other Departments. ? Prepare specifications for procurement of electrical equipment.
• Render technical assistance during construction and start-up phases.
• Client/vendor interfacing.
• Field inspections including system checkout and commissioning.
• Establish Departmental training needs, obtain budget approval, and direct development of training programs. ? Review all Department time sheets on a weekly basis.
• Assist in recruitment of electrical engineers and designers for the Department.
• The Electrical Department Manager will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, and must have a Licensed PE, from any state with about 12 to 15 years relevant experience in the design of industrial and facilities electrical projects.
